- I stayed in the hotel with 2 babies (< 1 year) for 4 weeks when my family first arrived in Japan and searching for apartments.
- The hotel provides cribs which is a big plus and has self-operated washing/drying machines (2 machines, free to use, each usage 2.5 hour limit, check with bell captain to obtain the key). The paid laundry service is also excellent.
- It also has spacious public spaces so we can still stroll with the baby when it is rainy.
- Staff are friendly and I asked them for help to make reservations in Japanese when one of the babies had a fever.
- We had to make a lot of Amazon orders of baby waters, diapers, etc. and it was a very smooth experience to receive those packages from the bell captain. For heavy items, hotel staff will bring them to the room.
- The Chinese restaurant (3rd floor) and the bakery at the lobby-level cafe are nice.
- The hotel has 2 elevators at the east/west far end of the lobby level for pedestrian access in addition to the free shuttle service.
- Closest train station: JR Motomachi (10~12min walk), Hankyu Hanakuma (12~15min walk)

Kobe is a very nice, spacius and modern city, we anjoyed the NunobikiWaterfall and the fact that you can combine a nature walk/hike in a city vacation. Also the Kobe Animal Kingdome is one of the best zoos we'v been to. Kobe is a great base for a visit in Aarima Onsen

Often overlooked in favour of its neighbour, Osaka, Kobe is an absolute gem of a city. It has a multitude of attractions, from the port and harbourside parks to the wonderful Nunobiki herb garden and hillside hikes on the other side of the city, to the old foreign merchants houses in Kitano Ijinkan-gai and the Motomachi and Sannomiya entertainment and shopping areas, there's a huge amount to see and do in Kobe. We gorged ourselves on amazing food, saw historic houses, enjoyed walking through nature, enjoyed food markets and took a harbourside tour. Bakery RIKI near our accommodation in Motomachi sold the most amazing pastries and Nankin-machi (Chinatown) had a wonderful, crowded, hectic atmosphere with hundreds of stalls selling cheap, absolutely delicious food. We will definitely visit Kobe again.

i travel to kobe for work regularly and usually don't do much sight seeing there; it is easy to find my way around, find restaurants and there is easy access to all sorts of places to visit in the kansai area; once we stayed at the outskirts of kobe, up the mountains, with stunning views of the harbour (private accommodation, sadly gone now) but there are some other nice places to stay in and around the city
Loved this hostel. The couple that runs this place are amazing people. They were very accommodating and were very patient when I tried to speak some Japanese with them. This place is a good alternative to staying in Osaka, as osaka hotels can be expensive and booked up. If we return to Osaka area, we will 100% stay here again.
Beds are comfortable, very spacious dorms, kitchen has everything you need to cook, and plenty of bathrooms and showers. Enjoyed our stay very much
Everything! This hotel felt like a 5 star hotel. Absolutely perfect! I highly recommend you to book this hotel at your next stay in Kobe. Family friendly, perfect for couple honeymoons, etc. Their breakfast was also amazing. A buffet style where you have so much to choose from! Both western and Japanese style food available. The hotel premises was massive! Such an amazing view too no matte which hotel room you get. It really made our Kobe stay memorable.
Very comfortable, clean room perfect for one traveler. With more than one it would be a little tight. There was plenty of room to open my suitcase at the end of my bed, which was a nice change from some Japanese hotels. The location was very close to the station, which was very convenient. The McDonalds next door can also be convenient for breakfast or late night food. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel staff was fantastic, always attentive and willing to help. They made my stay more enjoyable and were a highlight of the experience.
The Club lounge on the 26th floor served breakfast with both Japanese and Western options.
Shukei En, the Chinese restaurant, and it was simply amazing. Despite the restaurant being quiet, the food exceeded my expectations.
We enjoyed our stay. The room was a decent size for Japan. The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. The offering at breakfast was the best we had, lots of both Japanese and Western options.
It is in a pretty good location and walking distance to a lot of the "must see" places in Kobe. There are a also a lot of shops and restaurants close by.
nice hotel, with japanese and western style rooms; in walking distance of Maiko Stn and Akashi bridge, easy ride to Sannomiya or Himeji (though i did choose the location for easy access to colleagues); very spacious room (as i knew from previous stays) and nice bar to spend an evening overlooking Akashi bridge and chat to colleagues
Great location - just a short walk from Sannomiya Station. Free Happy Hour drinks and snacks from 5pm-7pm. An outdoor giant chess board for entertainment during happy hour. And, of course, comfortable rooms with some of the best smelling soap and shampoo I have come across in Japan.
Reception was professional and welcoming. My room was spacious and clean. I also liked that it was across from the train station and atop a McDonald's for a quick snack. The breakfast served was the best I had in an inn/hotel in Japan. The variety and quality of the food excellent.
Very Japanese styled hotel. I love the onsen there, it has both indoor and outdoor onsens. Also, staffs are very friendly, I’m not good at Japanese, so they use a translation machine to communicate with me. And it’s very close to 711 and bus station.
Traditional ryokan with small onsen as part of the hotel. They are private onsen, so you can go there as a couple / family.
Definitely recommend to book the dinner even if it seems bit expensive. It is worth it!
Best experience we had in Japan.
Good location, near the Kobe train station and close to the Harbor. The room is good and standard of Japanese business hotels. Overall it is quiet, except for the occasional noise of the train which wasn't too bad. Very polite and helpful staff!
Spacious room which is usual for Japanese Hotel rooms and great for a toddler to explore around. Nice location close to Sannomiya overlooking the Ikuta-Jinja shrine next door. Hotel staff were helpful and hotel itself clean and tidy.
Really cool experience staying at a traditional Japanese hotel, has a brilliant onsen and dinner was amazing! The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The room itself was a little outdated but very clean.
My favorite part was the onsen. I got to try 3 different baths and it wasn’t crowded at all. Of course the food was also good and the staff was very hospital despite myself not being Japanese. Nice break from the city.
I have visited a lot of business type hotel in Japan. This one is excellent value. Highly recommend and do get the double bed. A lot of biz hotels in Japan have sandbag like pillows; not here. Pillows very nice.
Nice building, perched at the top of a very steep street, excellent staff, room in the new wing a little anonymous and rather cold, excellent kobe beef dinner and good Japanese breakfast
All of the staff are ready to be helpful. Excellent 10 course of Japanese style dinner and breakfast. Clean room. Very good location. We will definitely stay with them next time.
Old school Japanese luxury hotel with updated, 21st century amenities. Huge room, one of the bigger options in Kobe. Staff was first class the entire stay!
It is a standard Japanese hotel. Bigger than the usual. Comfortable and clean. Walking distance to family mart/7-11. Near Port Kobe. Nearby cheap parking.
